You might recall that Simon Peter's first epistle is addressed to God's elect, strangers in the world,  scattered throughout the middle east.  ( 1 Peter 1:1).  This word 'scattered' is the Greek word 'diaspora' - like 'spores' spread out all over the place. The COVID-19 virus has caused a new 'diaspora' in our time.  We are scattered, but we can gather online.
