Crossroads

Community Church

Happy
For the health and comfort of our attendees, Crossroads Community Church seeks to provide a scent-free facility. Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne and scented lotions to services and functions.

Sunday Mornings 10:20 am

Our Sunday service begins at 10:20 am, and concludes at or around 11:35 am. Our gatherings are modern with an infusion of traditional music. The music, dramas, special features and a weekly message are all intended to foster a hunger for God. A fully-staffed nursery is available during the service for your convenience.

In addition, we offer Sunday School to our children and youth (up to grade 4) during the morning service. Our teachers are capable, committed and well-trained, and would be pleased to talk to anyone wishing to know more about the curriculum, schedule, etc. Sunday School for our adult population is offered before the morning service, running from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.

Community Dinner

In April 2009 Crossroads began offering a free dinner to community residents – and whomever else is interested – as a way of expressing our awareness of God’s blessing in our lives and desire to extend that blessing to others. Over five years later, our dinner continues on, drawing on average 120 guests each month.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our dinner, which takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and dinner is served at 6:30. The Calgary Public Library sets up shop each month in our foyer, and books, movies and crafts are available to one and all.

Small Groups

A network of vibrant relationships, made most obvious by our small group ministry, holds the people of Crossroads Church together. These groups meet regularly to talk about life, study the Bible, pray for each other and help those in need. It is our hope that in time everyone at Crossroads will find themselves in a group, enjoying these same deep friendships. For more info, call the church office.

Teens: Youth Group

Tyler & Laura Ellis oversee our youth program, which is anchored by a weekly Tuesday night gathering, with each Tuesday focusing on a different emphasis: community, study, service, etc. Monthly weekend events are also held, with these providing a greater opportunity for youth and leaders to play and burn off excess energy! A mentoring program runs parallel to youth group, and sees each junior and senior high student matched up with a mentor who they connect with on average once a month to share life and faith. Call the office for more details, watch the calendar on this website for upcoming events, or check out the CCC Youth Facebook page.

Young Adults

One of the goals at Crossroads is to encourage a healthy amount of ‘IGB’ (Intergenerational bonding!). A regular Monday-evening small group for young adults is available for those interested, while others find themselves eager to connect – in service and study – with those who possess a little more life experience.

Moms & Tots

Each Thursday morning, from 10:00 am – noon, a number of moms from the church and community gather together for coffee, snacks and casual conversation, while their babies safely explore and nap with mom nearby, and toddlers play and enjoy the bouncy house, etc.

During July and August, moms & tots still takes place, but the location varies as the moms meet in a variety of parks, etc. (see the events calendar for location details).

For Men

Each week a small group of men get together to encourage one another and spend time looking into God’s word and discussing how it can be applied to their lives. Larger activities such as ‘Steak Night’ (complete with classic rock, an ice cream bar and guest speaker), floor hockey, trips watch the Calgary Stampeders play and wing/pub nights are also held from time to time. Call the office for details.
